How old was your students?
I did not see any teaching,
What did you teach?
but China just put an end in hiring foreign teachers online to teach children. Does it affect you ?
Most native speakers think that just because of this fortunate situation they can teach English. No way. There's a huge difference between being a great conversational partner and being a great teacher. If you wanna be a teacher, start by learning a foreign language from zero and reach the advanced level. Now you will get the idea of what it means to learn a second language, how much time and energy it takes, what are the tricks methods to be used etc – and what you need to be an excellent teacher of your mother tongoue later on.
were I teaching the class, My class would be based on teaching him English based off the games Tony likes and the music he likes.
Ralph, something came to mind. What are you going to do, when you are of age to collect Social Security? No Social Security is paid to your country?
Avocado smoothies ate very popular here in Cambodia. I like the face you made with the celery juice, but if you want something that will really wake you up in the morning try wheatgrass juice, I get goosebumps just thinking about it. Very much like juicing the clippings from lawn mower!
Hey Ralph, what qualifications do you need to teach English there in Vietnam? Thanks for the videos.
you say your teaching, but I dont understand what is being done? are you just talking to them for them to practice english interaction? im lost????
Thank you for your video. I am in Dalat just now thinking about teaching. I agree with you about spending your time doing what you want and paying it forward to another to help them make ends meet. I'm going to look for a similar situation.
You have inspired me to move to Vietnam and teach online. How do you transfer your Palfish earnings to your Vietnamese bank account?
Hi Ralph Clesca,
Do you still have the code to get the certificate from international open academy?
U look like late kobe bryant bro!
Hi Ralph, missing you lately — no videos in the last month or so. Hope you both are OK. I was wondering whether I would need to have a TEFL certificate to do teach English online. What are your thoughts?
Hi Ralph, I adore your sense of humor and openheartness! came across one of your vids couple of days ago and already became a happy subscriber. i am in toronto, considering moving to vn to teach english, not sure how it will work out but it has become my obsessive idea to have family with vn girl, so i am watching your vids carefully to be able to pick up all the tips. i have been following your links on job prospects for teaching english online, but so far no success.. I am working on obtaining the certificate… perhaps after that would be better haha
here is some ideas for your next translations-how dating works in vn, or how to deal with dental/medical issues if you not covered by safetywing, or life of rich people in vn
tx for reading!
What's the best type of laptop to get for teaching and working online? I need to buy a new laptop..
Avocado smoothies are very popular in Brasil where I am from. I also tried many avocado smoothies in San Jose CA where there is a big Viet community. Avocado with milk and coconut sugar, avocado plus condense milk. Love you guys I watch your videos all the time. I visited Vietnam twice already back to back, and I can't wait to move there. In fact, I am looking into teaching online now as well. Namaste!
I going to forward your insurance link to a travel group
All my favorite vietnam expats (from YT) are leaving! you and your wife are the last few!
You should try avocado with condensed milk. Just diced avocado and condensed milk mix together add some ice if you want. It sounds weird but the taste is really good.
thanks for the video. Are your teaching earnings taxed by Vietnam Gov?
Việt nam Fruit very nice and sweet
I like watching you teach
What requirements does one English-speaking American need to teach English online? Thanks PS I will be moving to the Vietnam when the borders open and more than likely in Danang
looks like you are a good and happy teacher
Just curious how much do you charge per class? And do you have a schedule teaching subject per class? Or is it just random?
Also here in Da Nang but as a student
Thank you for all the info, love your videos,.
Aww Ralph, you're fabulous
Can you choose the age of your students? I didn’t realize you’d be teaching such young students with lots of props and stuff.
Thanks a lot for taping your classes..The Airport here in Panama will open October 12th. I hope to be in Asia soon. I hope to meet you. My family is Jamaican, but I was born in the US. Peace!
Ralph, you are a awesome, dude. I have property in Florida that I visit. I love the tropical fruits. But it's cheaper in Vietnam, and you are tempting me to make a trip there. Let's see you getting a coconut delivery, and in your kitchen cleaning them and making fruit smoothies, etc. Keep up the great work / lifestyle.
Avocado coffee OMG😄
Thanks for sharing! Are these 25min sessions based on playtime or teaching? What is the name of the online company that offers these sessions? Which platform is best to reach you? Sent you an email months ago but have not gotten response yet. Enjoy all of your content
Nice video. What a cool job !!!!
People live in Central Viet Nam they REALLY REALLY LOVE Avocados. They make smoothy mix with mangoes, pineapple, depends on season, but they're crazy about avocados smoothy. Avocados in VN are very large, I think larger than avocados here in the US. Thank you for another WONDERFUL video. You are great teacher. Students are very lucky to be in your English class. I really enjoy watching your videos.
Sweet interaction with the kids😛!!! Also, any word on when the borders reopen?
Your fridge looks a lot like mine, nice! You should put that lady's contact info here for people in Danang, help her out, good stuff. I will sign up to teach with your company soon and use your link. peace from Macau.
Great talent on display with this guy. Love your positive attitude.
Hi Ralph.
Thanks for sharing with us a day in the life of you working.
You mentioned that there is no lesson plan and that the company tells you what to teach just before you start the lesson.
My question is – has this last minute approach ever put you in a position where you do not feel prepared for the lesson?
Thanks, Martin
Haha I love that you’re clearly not thrilled by the taste of the celery juice, but you’re so respectful of Christina that you never actually say you don’t like it, or that it’s nasty…happy wife, happy life my brotha!
Dumb question here, where do you get your stuff/gadget like your mini tripod or headphone with mic? I just noticed there's no Amazon in Vietnam and pretty sure they don't have a Walmart. Thanks.
dang @ralph. You only work 20 hours a week? I am guessing that is probably $1500-$1600 USD a month.. I am currently with VIPKID- I do about 22 hours a week (But I still have a FT job in the USA- Just building up my students before I get the courage to make the move overseas). Im also hired with GOGO but VIP keeps me pretty much booked. Im on Cali Time. So mostly early mornings before my 8-5 job. Love the vids- But damn didnt know u only work 20 hours a week! taking 2 days off a week! awesome schedule! Glad you can live a good life. and according to your budget vid 1500 is plenty for da nang.
Yes I would get someone to do my grocery for me too if it’s that cheap and give more time to do the fun stuffs. And yes I have avocado smoothies all the times and it’s really good for u and delicious. U r so lucky to be in da nang Vietnamese the living there is so cheap and have more time to enjoy life. Keep up the great works and enjoy ur stay in vn !!!!
I studied at British Council. They kinda have the same booking system but it’s 1h30 a class tho
