Too much money for only a tb
For me the SMR debacle is the nail in WD's coffin! Never had very good success with WD cloud, sata, ide or usb drives over the 20+ years i have been buying storage drives.
You had me searching for this backup G-Drive solution … until I realised that Western Digital actually owns it.
I may be old school, but when a company does what they have done in the last year or so,
ie; intentionally mislead customers on the products they sell,
I tend to back away until they show at least a willingness to accept responsibility,
and put in the culture change needed at the company,
and show that they operate in a different way.
Until then … I just cant buy this.
