In this video I explain how to create your own glitch sound effects by using any old audio file. This is a particularly fun method of creating some cool sounds, and you can also experiment using different plugins (not just a phaser or flanger) to make your sound effects even more awesome!

  1. This tutorial is the opening to a new world of sounds, of your own without paying royalties and stuff like that. People with some patience and creativity could make there own sound libraries and sell them.

  2. You can do this for software instruments right? im trying to group some instruments together and add filter effects this way. Would want to out bus input on an adio track or a software track for instruments? Also for some reason I cant figure out how to record audio, lol

  3. Does anyone know why it doesn't work for me? when I record onto a new track the changing effects I did with my midi controller don't record onto the track? it just stays the way the midi knobs are set after the recording. thanks in advance!!

  4. Thanks for this tutorial. It was very informative. Is there any chance I can hear each of the two tracks you play at the end on their own so I can hear the effect of the glitch taken away from the synth track?
    Thanks
    Andrew
