So funny to watch this in 2020 with a small g drive mobile pro ssd at 2800MB's. It's crazy how technology develops
i got a drive yesterday and its coming a noice after every 10 secound
Does the fan at the back run all the time or only when the drive get hot And is it loud
Can you partition these drives into 4 or 5 partitions?
you wanna sell it
@Kirk Norbury : I know this is an older video but do you know how the USB 3.0 speeds compare? Thanks so much.
Need adapter
This may sound like a dumb question, but can I replace my current macs HDD with a 128gb SSD and use this for everything else (music, documents, etc)?
I just purchased this drive, has it failed you yet? Do all hard drives indefinitely fail over time?

use a better mic
is it good for xbox one?
AKitio products tend to have the best speeds out there.
I like your review. Can i ask you where i can find your (sky) wallpaper? thanks.
Nice review, and nice honest image you emanate. Vert pleasant to watch your review. what would you say about the differences between this and the LaCie 5 tb thunderbolt compared?
best ? LaCie 10TB / 20TB / 30TB is the best in the market. Redundant and better speed.
I think you're right with the price comparison. G-Tech are among the very best. We'll be needing Pro equipment for our production and it'll probably be Thunderbolt or even Thunderbolt 2 for some serious future-proofing.
Many thanks for this vid. You helped me out.
Did some research, a Macworld article indicated it is actually 4 2.5" Hard Drives in RAID 0. So if 1 7200 RPM drive is ~100 MBps, 4 x 100 is ~400 MBps. Only concern with this is that since it's RAID 0, if 1 of 4 drives fail the entire RAID is corrupt.
